I can't configure my chromecast with google tv with google home app

Hello everyone

I bought a chromecast with google tv but, when i try to configure it with google home app, i scan the qr code, select a room, but when i connect it to my wifi network, after a few seconds my TV says that my chromecast is connected, but my phone keeps trying to connect it. after a few minutes my phone says that my chromecast is connected to the wifi, but can't find it. i have the same problem if i enter my wifi password manually. 

So i configured my chromecast with the remote, it worked perfectly well, but it is not connected as a device to my google home, so i can't enjoy the google Home features.

I would like to know if it is possible to add a chromecast to google home that has already been configured, because when i try to add a device, i can't find it, or how i can resolve the first issue

Hi, 

I reinstalled the Google Home app, and it worked. Thank you for your help.

Thanks for reaching out. Could you please try to check if the Chromecast with Google TV is on the other local device section in the Google Home app? If you've found the device, please try to move it to your existing home. 

 

If unavailable, please try to re-setup your Chromecast using the Google Home app. This time, try to manually connect to the Chromecast SSID before setting it up. Here's how: Go to the phone’s Settings > Open WiFi and connect to the Chromecast SSID (Example: Chromecast1234, Living Room TV, Bedroom TV, etc.) > Go to the Google Home app and try to set up again. Resetting your device and using a different mobile phone might also help.

I can't find the other local devices section on the google home app ? Where can I find it ?

I'm sorry for the late response. In your home in the Google Home app, please scroll down to see the other local devices section. However, if you still can't see your device, please try the suggested steps above and let me know how it goes.
