Issue with chromecast volume on Hisense TV

Hi, I have an issue with my chromecast remote. I can not adjust the TV volume with the chromecast remote.

I went to settings and then volume control but the Hisense TV (IR) option is greyed out, the chromecast option is also greyed out. Only Auto (CEC) I can select.

I also tried to select power button option but same issue.

I called Hisense today but they couldn’t fix it. They made me adjust chromecast device to HDMI port no 2, instead of no 1.

can someone help as I want to use my chromecast remote for power button and volume control thanks

Navigate to your Chromecast device settings, remove your Hisense TV from the list, then add it again and reconfigure the remote buttons.

Before going any further, reboot the Chromecast device - unplug it from the main power grid for about 5 minutes then plug it back in. Try to reconfigure the remote buttons. If unsuccessful, proceed to the next step.

Reset the Hisense TV.

If unsuccessful, proceed to the next step.

Remove the Chromecast remote from the list by selecting forget.

Remove the batteries, reinsert them, hold "Back" and "Home" on the remote, then with the software remote, select add. Wait until the device find the remote and in the top right corner of the TV you will see pair. Using the software remote, select "Pair".
