Just bought 3rd gen Chromecast, no wall adapter

Hello guys/gals

As the title says, my chromecast came with no wall adapter. Just the chromecast and the cable, nothing else. The box says that the wall adapter (that goes connected to the electrical outlet) is included but it is nowhere to be found. I told the seller about this and he told me the adapter does not come with it from the factory and I just need to connect it through the TV USB port. I know this is not recommended by google and I understand why, every unboxing/review I've searched in YouTube shows that the adapter indeed comes with the device so. A good friend of mine told me his own Chromecast came without the adapter too. Any input on this? I just want to be sure about it before I go about making a claim against the seller.

TIA

Hi ,

The power adapter should definitely be part of the package when you purchase that model of Chromecast.

See Chromecast Tech Specs - Google Store and the 'What's in the box" .

Definitely reach out to the seller again, the adapter should've been sold with the device.
