Keyboard and mouse with Chromecast + Google TV // issues

Hi,

after connecting Keyboard and mouse trough USB receiver to Chromecast TV with Google TV, there are some issue with using such setup.

1. Right click of mouse does not work at all, I assumed that it could work as backward button. Left click and scrolling wheel is working correctly.

2. Left click is working little bit tricky, after pressing sometimes it react sometimes not. Also left click is not able to use with displayed virtual keyboard at screen.

3. Physical keyboard is useless as it can not be used for typing to search bar. Few buttons like ESC sometime works.

Can be those issues somehow fixed by settings change or only software update of Chromecast with Google TV can resolve mentioned issues?

Thanks.

Hi MarianM,

Thanks for reaching out. This may or may not work as it depends on your device and it might not be compatible or supported with Chromecast with Google TV. However, you could try to unpair and pair your keyboard and mouse then try again.

Thanks,

Jennifer

Hi Jennifer,

thanks for response, however I am using wireless USB (not Bluetooth) set of mouse and keyboard, so repairing is not the solution.

Hi MarianM,

Since this thread hasn't had activity in a while, we're going to close it to keep content fresh.

While you can connect Bluetooth-enabled remote or accessory to your Chromecast, the set up you're trying to achieve may or may not work. If you have additional questions, feel free to submit another post and provide as many details as possible so that others can lend a hand.

Thanks,

Alex
