I have a missing live icon on the top line of the homepage of Chromecast. I only have search, for you, movies, shows, apps, and library. I cannot get to the live app portion of the homepage. Everything else works on the homepage, except for no live icon button. I am using Chromecast on a LG smart TV. The live button was previously there, but has been missing for about 10 days now.

Weird, it only happened to the TV we use the most (Living Room). I have unplugged the chromecast dongle, reset it, etc. Nothing seems to help. the "LIVE" option is gone from the default menu.
However, I discovered by accident that if I go to something in my LIBRARY, then choose menu, I can navigate the normal menu again. I have no idea what happened or how else to fix it.
I have a space chromecast device, but I'm reluctant to install it, because I think I'm limited to the number of devices I currently have registered. Google set it up originally.....

Quick question: do you have an active subscription for live TV programs such as for YouTube TV, Sling TV, or Pluto TV? Please reboot your Chromecast device and plug it in on a different HDMI port on your TV. Resetting your Chromecast might also help.

No!
Reset did not help, either.
i finally did the ”factory reset” ( very hard to find in Settip), which forced me to install and sign into my stresming apps.
And, now the same thing has happened to s second chromecast device. Not hapoy
