My Chromecast remote will not turn on at all. It won’t even blink!

I have a Chromecast that I stopped using for a few months. The remote will not turn on. I get a second of light before it turns off again 😭

Oh no, that isn't good to hear! I can imagine this issue is pretty scary, so I'd be able to help resolve it! Now, I have to ask, have you tried changing the batteries recently? If not, please make sure to use store-bought AAA 1.5 V alkaline batteries. In the meantime, you can use your phone as a virtual remote while your current remote is out of commission.

It's us again. How's it going? Did you manage to get your Chromecast Voice Remote working by following the steps provided by Jeran? If the issue persists, you may also try resetting your Chromecast with Google TV and Chromecast Voice Remote.
