My Chromecast won't connect to my wifi i

Thanks for reaching out. Let's sort this out.

 

A few questions: what type of Chromecast device do you have? What's the LED light status in your Chromecast (solid or blinking)? Is this an initial set up or working previously? 

 

Try these steps:

 

  1. Make sure the Chromecast device is within 15 to 20 feet of the setup device and the Wi-Fi router.
  2. Toggle Wi-Fi off and on from the mobile device.
  3. Reboot your router.
  4. Reboot your mobile phone.
  5. Reboot your Chromecast.
  6. Close and reopen the Google Home app.
  7. If you're using an iOS device, please turn on the Local Network Access for the Google Home app.
  8. Use a different mobile device.
  9. Factory reset your Chromecast. Here's a guide: How to factory reset your Chromecast.
