My Chromecast won't connect to the tv or phone. And the light worn work

Our Chromecast won't connect to the tv. It keeps saying no signal. We've checked the wifi and turned it off and on with the cast also off and rebooted it. The light on the side won't work either. I've tried to reboot it with the button but it doesn't work. Any help?? (There's a show we have to finish 😂)

If there's no light on your Chromecast, it's not getting any power. Is your Chromecast connected to a power outlet and not a USB port on your TV? Are you using the original power cable and adapter that came with your Chromecast?
