My phone does not find chromecast during setup

I am trying to set up chromecast. My phone is not discovering the chromecast

Thanks for posting and sorry for the late response. I'd like to know more about what's happening so we can sort this thing out.

  1. What type of Chromecast device do you have?
  2. What's the make and model of the device you're using for setup? 
  3. What's the LED light status (solid or flashing white)? 
  4. What's the distance between the router and the Chromecast device?
  5. What messages does the TV display? Does it display Set me up?

Please make sure Chromecast is within 15-20 feet (4-6 meters) of the device used for setup and check if the Chromecast device is plugged into a power outlet, rather than the USB port. You can check this support website article for more troubleshooting steps.
