NBA League Pass having issues streaming

Can you help me? I have an issue streaming NBA League pass on chromecast. I already switch to 50hz mode like what some users did on this forum. Also tried to switch WIFI networks, 2.4ghz to 5ghz and tested using another wifi router. But the issue is intermittent. I have an able internet connection, around 400Mbps, I can stream Youtube, Spotify, Apple Music, Prime Video and Disney+ fine. I experience no buffering with those apps but with NBA League Pass it's horrible. It stutters and sometimes it just stops after a few seconds.

Here's my ChromeCast Firmware: 1.56.275994
Hope you can help me with this issue.

Thanks for reaching out and I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue streaming video content from the NBA League Pass app to your Chromecast. Let's check on this further.

Quick question: what type of Chromecast device do you have? Please reboot your Chromecast and plug it in on a different HDMI port on your TV. Resetting your device and plugging it on a different TV screen if one is available might also help.

Note: if the issue is isolated with the NBA League Pass app, please reach out to the app developer for further help.

It's working fine for now, a little stutter on the first few seconds of the stream but it will continue unlike the times I've encountered in the past.

But I still have to observe if this is the NBA app or the chromecast's intermittent problem.

Hi Jennifer,

I bought the Chromecast with Google TV and did not experience an issue. Maybe it's an issue with the app streaming to the 2nd gen chromecast. Anyways, thanks for your help.

Got it and thanks for isolating the issue. I tried to search about this and found this article from the NBA website. It looks like that their app is only compatible with the Chromecast 3rd Gen and later versions. This could be the reason why you're having an issue streaming the NBA League Pass app on it. You may also try to reach out with NBA support for additional help.
