In years past I've been able to cast NBA league pass games from both Chrome and the NBA app. Now it no longer seems to be working from the NBA league pass site. The device is detected but when I click on it all I get is a loading screen with three dots on the TV. This goes on until I click 'disconnect'. It works with all other websites. Only when I try casting an NBA game does it not cast properly.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble casting video content from the NBA app. Could you please try to clear the cache and data of the NBA app then reinstall it? Rebooting your Chromecast and Wi-Fi router might also help.
Also, if the issue is isolated when using the NBA app, I suggest you reach out to the app manufacturer for additional help.
