Need to change WiFi password, where do I do this

I set up my Chromecast without a problem a few years ago.  I changed my WiFi password a couple months ago but haven’t used my Chromecast since then.  I tried to change the password in Google Home but can’t find where I would do this.  On the “Home” page, I see “Settings”.   I don’t see “WiFi” or the WiFi icon.

Why not to try the easiest way? Use your Chromecast settings, Network, forget network/find new one as it was for the first time.

The easiest way would be to factory reset your Chromecast and then set it up again for your new network.

🙂 only if the first one I mentioned, is not effective...

I did a factory reset and it still doesn’t see my WiFi.  I’m thinking my Chromecast just quit working because it’s a first gen and/or it’s not compatible with my router.  I think I’ll get a new one, thank you for the help,

I don't see the reason that your 1st gen. chromecast woudn't be compatible with your router. Only if you have router which is not configured to work as 2,4G...

Anyway, if you need to follow technology, be up to date, get better performance, then it is suggested to get new chromecast as upgrades to older chromeacts are definitely limited. It is because this kind of device is simple as much as possible. With this - cheap, predicted to use within approx 2 years.

dieselbug, it's us again. How's it going? If you're still having trouble setting up your Chromecast, please manually connect to the Chromecast SSID. Here's how: Go to the phone Settings > Open Wi-Fi and connect to the Chromecast SSID (Example: Chromecast1234, Living Room TV, Bedroom TV, etc.) > Go to the Google Home app and try to set up again.
