Hello,
We moved and are setting up our Google home system. One of the Google minis and our chrome cast show up as "needs activation" in the add device section of Google home. You are not able to select either. We tried factory resetting and also unplugging our router but doesn't work. We even get the notification on our phones to set up the Chromecast but when we click it, same issue with needs activation. Please help! Thank you

Some customers in this thread found that doing a factory reset on their Nest Mini solved the problem. I don't know; it hasn't happened to us:

And here's a thread on re-activating Chromecast; we don't have Chromecast, so you'll need to judge for yourself if this is at all helpful:
