Chromecast is not working with a hard wired Bose system. While the chromecast remote shuts the Bose off, we have to mute the Bose and use the TV speakers while watching shows from our apps. Suggestions?

Thanks for reaching out. Please try to reboot Chromecast and Bose system. Removing and re-adding your Bose system under remote and accessories settings might also help. If the same issue persists, please reset your Voice Remote and set up again.
You may also check this support website article to set up your Chromecast Voice Remote's button. Note: The remote won’t be able to control the volume, power, and input buttons on some device models.
