Issue with Pixel 6 casting. Phone recognizes TV (Sony Bravia 4K UR2). Cast displays freeze frame of phone. Will not show any additional activity on phone. Session ends after 30 seconds.
I've posted this issue on Pixel community. Received suggestion to post here as well.

Hi Hease,
Thanks for posting. I'd like to know more about what's happening so we can sort this thing out.
A few questions — do you have a Chromecast device, or your TV has a built-in Chromecast? Are you trying to cast your phone's screen on your TV? Is this only happening in your Pixel phone or across all mobile devices?
I'll look forward to your response.
Thanks,
Jennifer

I have a Sony Bravia 4K UR2 TV with built in Chromecast. Ver. 1.56.276477.
Trying to cast phone to TV. Previous LG phones worked well. Only happening with phones. Our MS Surface works fine. Thanks.

I read through the article and followed the steps to use the Google Home app on the phone. Selected the TV but then I had to apply the casting function on the phone to get it to work. Why should it take two steps? Never did on my LG phones.

Hi Hease,
Sorry for the late response. That's the steps on how to cast screen or mirror your Android phone to your TV, but you can also check the info provided by Sony from their support website.
Thanks,
Jennifer

Thanks for the help with the casting issue. Seems to be working fine now. One more issue I need help with.
I have assigned a special ringtone for some of my contacts and I would like to have that same tone assigned to them for text messages. I haven't been able to figure out how to keep that tone after I've deleted their messages. Used to be the contact function offered a ringtone assignment and a notification assignment. That's no longer the case. Any suggestions. Thanks. RKH

Hey there Hease,
I'm glad the casting issue was resolved! As for the ringtone questions, I am not too sure, unfortunately. I would recommend you ask the Pixel Phone Community, as they are experts on everything Pixel Phone specific.
Best regards,
Jeran
