Problems with bluetooth and cast

Honorio
Community Member

Hello. I've been trying to transmit the image from my cell phone to chromecast for a while, but without success. Even if I try through third-party apps, Google Home or system settings, none of the options work.

Also, I use a dualshock 4 controller to play Xbox Game Pass, I also use a bluetooth headset and both work poorly via bluetooth. The control and the headset have several lags and interference, probably caused by the distance. The issue is that the Chromecast is at most 4 meters away.

Hello Honorio,

Thanks for reaching out. Please try the steps listed below and let me know how it goes:

  1. Reboot the Bluetooth device.
  2. Move your devices closer to each other.
  3. Remove your device under Remote and Accessories and reconnect it.
  4. Unplug your TV for 10 seconds and then plug it back in. Once the TV is on, try pairing it again.
  5. If you have another device (Example: Phone or tablet) that you can try to pair with your Bluetooth device, please try that and check if the same issue persists.
  6. Try to pair another Bluetooth device to your Chromecast with Google TV and test.
  7. Reboot your Chromecast.
  8. Reset your Chromecast.

Thanks,

Jennifer

Hello there,

It's me again. How's it going? Did those steps help?

Regards,

Jennifer

Hi Jennifer. Thank's for your time.

These steps didn't help me. It seems that the problem is the distance. When I put the devices close to the Chromecast, bluetooth works fine. The strange thing is that the distance I put them is about 4 meters, if I put them at about 30 centimeters they work fine, if I move away more than 30 centimeters don't work.

Hi Honorio,

Thanks for getting back to us. All Bluetooth devices have different Bluetooth distance ranges. Therefore, we recommend you keep your Bluetooth device that's connected to the Chromecast with Google TV via Bluetooth as close as possible–to ensure you get the best performance.

Thanks,

Jennifer

Yes, but the same devices tested with the cell phone work with greater distance. The problem is with the Chromecast. Waiting for the next updates for some correction.

Thanks,

Jennifer
