Randomly disconnects

For approximately 2wks now, when I'm casting to youtube chromecast will randomly disconnect. No connectivity issues (wifi). Happens when phone is on and when screen times out. Didn't have this issue nearly as often until just recently. Updated to most recent version and problem still occurs.

Ditto! For many months now for me. Internet works and remains connected with all devices but says chromecast has disconnected. Mine will automatically reconnect but still is obnoxious during shows. Also will not work at all with certain apps when it had before.

1. When did this issue start happening?
2. Does this issue only occur on YouTube?
3. What color is the LED light on the Chromecast?
4. What troubleshooting steps have you already tried?
