Screensaver comes in while I scroll through home screen pages

I was watching a movie on OTT app then I came out of that app suddenly screensaver comes in. Screensaver should come in action only when we're not using it right? It comes in when I look for content on home screen or I exit from an app. This is frequent.

I have not experienced this myself while navigating the home screen but when using the back button you can activate the screen ambient mode.

There is currently an update rolling out for the Chromecast with Google TV so it might be worth checking if this helps with your issue.

1. Go to the home screen of your Chromecast with Google TV.
2. Choose Settings > System > About > System update.

Yes using the back button to get to the ambient display / screensaver is by design.

Pressing back button activates it? Is that why it is going to ambient a or screensaver mode?
