Searching for accessories

Trying to set up a new chromecast. Keep getting to following see picture. I can’t go through set up at all. Tried restarting etc. any ideas? Took the picture from someone else had the same issue. It also unpaired the remote each time Thanks.

Hello Hefd,

 

Thanks for reaching out. To confirm, can you see any LED light when you press and hold the back and home button on the Chromecast Voice Remote? What type of Chromecast with Google TV do you have, is it the 4K or HD model? Please try to plug in the Chromecast with Google TV on a different HDMI port on your TV and reboot your Wi-Fi router. Plugging in your device into a different TV screen might also help.

Chromecast HD. I plugged it into different tvs/hdmi ports, plugged it into the wall restarted my router. Reset the chromecast. Dont think theres much remaining to do. If i hit back on the remote it might go into set up, then it will automatically restart and erase everything. It with then go back to search for accessories. Thanks for your help!

Thanks for getting back to us and for trying the suggested steps. To cover all the bases, could you please perform a factory reset on your Chromecast with Google TV (HD)? Once done, try to set up your device again and check if the same issue will persist.
