I have just purchased a chromecast.
What is the point in kids profiles if the adult one does not logout?
We goto bed, the kids get up turn on the TV and they have full access to the adult profile.
If we switch the profile before bed manually (daft workaround) they can just power cycle the chromecast and have access to the adult profile with no pin.
Why is there only pin protection when switching out of a kid's profile? There should be pin protection when first opening any profile, including when a power cycle has happened and also if a profile hasn't been used for a period of time. There should also be a quick option to enable requiring a pin when next used too.
As it stands the family profile and kids accounts are utterly pointless and there is no protection for the family users.

Unfortunately that is the way it works today, and I don't disagree with your feedback. This is mostly a user to user community, therefore if this is important to you, I’d encourage you to also send this feedback directly to Google. You will not receive a response, unless Google need more details from you, however the team are still reading the feedback.

Thank you I will do that. I thought Google would have much better family protection against adult content.

No not really, I just hope the profiles can be sorted out as they are pointless right now and not family friendly.

It's totally understandable, Google is always looking for feedback for improving Google TV, so your feedback should help in that regard. For now, I'll go ahead and lock up this thread. If you run into any more issues in the future, feel free to make a new thread.
Thank you for your help, David!
Best regards,
Jeran
