Setting up Chromecast on a boat without wi-fi

Do I need wi-fi or can I hotspot from android phone or I Pad ?

Hi there,

It's possible to use a mobile hotspot but you might need a second device to configure the Chromecast with the Google Home app initially as not all mobile devices can create a hotspot and also connect with that hotspot.
