Setting up Chromecast without remote

My dog chewed my remote I got a new TV and it won't let me connect to it without the remote what do I do

Hello, you can use your phone as a virtual remote control as well. I googled and found that some users have success using their phone as a remote control.

Aj13, while you can use the Virtual remote to control your Chromecast with Google TV (4K) or (HD), you still need to have the actual Chromecast Voice Remote to initially set up your Chromecast with Google TV device. If your remote is no longer functional and you're setting up your Chromecast with Google TV, you can purchase a new one from our Google Store.
