Something Went Wrong - Enable Local Network Access

Hello,
So I recently moved and of course want to set up my Google Home to play some music while organizing the place. However I keep facing the same issue during the setup process. It will say something went wrong and I need to enable local network access (picture attached) Sounds easy enough right? Absolutely wrong. I’ve been searching for a solution to this problem for a solid 30 minutes. Here’s what I’ve tried thus far:  1. It’s already enabled on my phone so I tried turning that off and on - nothing . 2. I’ve reset the device to factory settings twice - result? Nothing 3. I’ve shut off my phone - no help either 4. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app - also not helpful. 5. I’ve also unplugged the device a couple of times but nada! At this point I’m annoyed as I’ve tried everything. If anyone has a solution that’s different from what I’ve already done please let me know. If not, I’m tossing this thing:)

Checking back in — still need our help? If so, try these steps:

 

  • Reboot your router for 1-2 minutes to refresh the connection.
  • Check router settings. (AP isolation must be disabled and UPnP must be enabled). 
  • Try to use a different phone in setting up your device.
  • Use a mobile hotspot to set up your devices (To isolate the issue).
