TCL Chromecast issues

Not sure which labels I should have picked. Not even sure if this is the right forum for my issues.

I have two TCL TVs with built in Chromecast. One casts perfectly and I mean 100%. The other has issues

Lag - huge lag of video

Repeats cast - the last 10 seconds you just watched can now repeat itself three of four times and then may now skip  30 or 40 seconds.

I have cleared cache and data from Chromecast BI . I have uninstalled Webview and Chromecast BI and reinstalled.

Nothing has made any difference at all and is totally unwatchable.

Your help would be appreciated

Managed to get through to TCL support in NZ. Contrary to comments I have read of other TCL support they were actually very good and supportive. They had me unplug the TV with issue and then hold down the on/off switch for minimum 20 seconds. TV left unplugged for a further 2/3 minutes. Switch everything back on and voila!! I suppose this was like a reset? Problem solved!!

I suppose I should have added...

I'm casting from my desktop PC which is hard wired as are both TCL TVs.

I have also tried casting from my phone and laptop [wifi] same result.

I have tried casting from the Icon in the video, the Cast Tab and also Cast Desktop. All have same result.

Are the TV's the same model? If so check the firmware and make sure the are the same.  Make sure the TV is not on Lan and wifi at the same time. Have you tried a factory reset on the problem TV?

Hey there!

It looks like MikeH5 was able to resolve their issue, and it's been a few days, so I'm locking the thread. As always, feel free to make a new thread if you have any more questions or concerns.

Thank you for your help, kiltguy2112!
