Unable to Chromecast from Chrome via Wifi to HisenseTV

I am trying to follow the instructions on how to Chromecast to my TV, but I am having trouble.  The tutorials seem to have options that I don't have.
When I click on my Cast button I get this option, but there's nothing I can press to make it actually Cast.

Any tips?
Last week I was able to Cast to the TV from this same computer via VLC.  However, today I am unable to do it.  Perhaps that's a clue.  So far I have never been successful in casting via Chrome.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing some connection issues, I know from experience how difficult that can be to troubleshoot on your own. What I would recommend is that you follow the steps listed in this article. Most of the time, that article resolves these kinds of problems.

This guide does not address any of the problems that I have.   I can see my TV via chromecase I just cannot click it because it's greyed out.  What does "Available for Specific Video Sites" mean?

Cogzoid, I'm sorry to hear that you're still experiencing an issue casting content using a Chrome browser and you should not be getting that message. 

 

Please try to reboot your Chromecast and router/modem. If the issue persists, please try the additional steps below:

 

  1. Ensure that the Google Chrome is up-to-date.
  2. Make sure that the Chromecast device is set up correctly.
  3. Check if other devices can cast successfully (Example: phones, tablets, computers).
  4. Check if there are any pending software updates on your casting device.
  5. Check the antivirus of the computer. [Note: There are cases (mostly in Windows) wherein the Chromecast device fails to work after the antivirus finished an update. If this happens, call your antivirus provider].
  6. Perform a Factory reset.
