Unable to set up Chromecast on multiple devices (e.g. another smart phone or tablet)

We have a Chromecast, but are only able to set up on device to cast (can cast from only one tablet).  We are unable to set up the casting ability from any smart phone or other tablet.  We go into Google Home, select add device, new device, choose a home, but the smart phone and/or other tablet cannot find the Chromecast device.

Can someone please help?

You do NOT have to do setup on every device.  That is a one-time thing where you get the Chromecast defined and connected to your network.

For all your other devices, just make sure they are connected to the same network and hit the cast button  They will search your network for installed devices and list your Chromecast automatically.

For instance, I always setup my Chromecast devices using my phone, but I tend to cast from my tablet or my wife's phone.  I didn't have to do anything to get my tablet or that other phone to see the Chromecast.
