I apologize for the late response on this thread, thank you for being patient! Were you able to set up your Virtual Remote? If not, I'd be happy to help out, as sometimes connecting devices can be tricky. First, make sure your Google Home app is up-to-date. Afterwards, make sure your phone and the Chromecast are both on the same network band, and there are no VPNs or Proxies running. Then, go ahead and clear out the cached data on the Google Home app, and try connecting again.
