Hello, thanks for listening. My issue is that HBO max is always at a very low volume. The app is installed on my GTV/R and there are no volume controls other than my TV/surround sound setup, which is linked via HDMI. Other apps work fine (except for paramount+ which acts up by episode instead of all programs, like HBO max does- in fact, the latest episode of Picard had me cranking the volume and a friend of mine had the same problem, so that was probably just P+ being stupid ). Netflix, YouTube, CBS, discovery, peacock, hulu and prime all work fine (that's everything installed on the GTV/R). After watching HBO max, I have to drop the volume back to 25-30% or I'll blow myself out of the room.
Casting from my phone has no issues, this is GTV/R all the way.
There's no way no one else is having this issue, it's definitely a software issue and not operator stupidity.

Hi BonobianMonster,
Thanks for reaching out and sorry to hear about that. Could you please try to uninstall and reinstall the affected apps in GTV and reboot your Chromecast?
Let me know how it goes.
Thanks,
Jennifer

Same result. Either the app is buggy or gtv doesn't have the correct driver. Extremely odd that no one else is having this issue...

Hi BonobianMonster,
Thanks for getting back to us and for trying the suggested steps. Could you please try to reset your Chromecast with Google TV and try to play some videos again from HBO Max? If the issue persists and this is only happening with HBO Max, please reach out to the app developer for further assistance.
Thanks,
Jennifer

I reinstalled hbomax with the same result. The problem is with the application itself.
