I access Chromecast with GoogleTV through a TCL television set.
I have had trouble keeping my YouTubeTV account integrated with GoogleTV such that I would have the "Live" menu available, and also have things from YouTubeTV included in the recommendations, etc, included on the GoogleTV home screen. This core integration is why GoogleTV/Chromecast is a good choice for me (as a YouTubeTV user), so I'd love to get it working again.
To be clear, I can select the YouTubeTV app and access it, but it is not integrated into the other GoogleTV features, including the "Live" menu.
The root problem is probably that the main email accounts associated with my Chromecast/GoogleTV and YouTubeTV are different. But for a time in the past, they were indeed integrated and working properly. One day, the "Live" menu just disappeared.
Related to this, today I did in fact see the "Live" menu for the first time in some months, because PlutoTV integration has been added. So when I click the "Live" menu, I am prompted to integrate PlutoTV there. I did so, mainly to see if it would work.
But as I focus on trying to troubleshoot the YouTubeTV issue, I would now like to uninstall PlutoTV from my Live menu to keep things simple. There seems to be no way to do this. I deleted the PlutoTV app, but now I still have a "Live" menu that displays the full schedule of PlutoTV, even though I can't even access that content right now. One would think there'd be a simple toggle switch somewhere in the settings, but I can't find it.
I suspect the end game here is going to be that I will have to entirely cancel my YouTubeTV account and start a new one with the email address associated with my GoogleTV. But it doesn't seem like that should be necessary.
Besides combing through the settings of both GoogleTV and YouTubeTV over and over and over again, my troubleshooting steps have included the basic disconnection and reconnection of the Chromecast and television set. I've also deleted and reinstalled the YouTube TV app several times.
I'd be grateful for any suggestions that anyone may have. Thank you.
