Why YouTube Kids for Android TV does not count towards the kids daily screen time limit?

Any other app like Netflix or Disney+ counts, but not YouTube Kids for Android TV. How can it be fixed?

Quick question: do you have a separate Chromecast device or you only have an Android TV? In the meantime, please check this support website article to see more information about the screen time limit for your device. If you're still experiencing the issue, please reboot your Chromecast or your TV and observe the behavior.

I am having a similar issue with Youtube as well as Youtube Kids on Google Chromecast with Google TV, seems to be introduced since updating to Android 12.

Hello DJKR,

 

I'm sorry to hear that you're also experiencing the same issue with your Chromecast with Google TV (4K). Could you please try to reboot your device and plug it in on a different HDMI port on your TV? Resetting your device might also help.
