I want to restrict app downloads without having to use a "kid's" profile. I tried setting up a "kid's" profile but when I did that we couldn't use YouTubeTV. Chromecast is full of VPN and browser apps that can be easily downloaded to circumvent router filters I have in place to protect my family. Roku and other streaming devices allow the restriction of app downloads, why doesn't Google?

Hey there N323DL,
I apologize about the late response, thank you for your patience! That's a great idea, because sometimes folks need to restrict certain applications, but not be limited by kid's profile's app options. I would highly encourage you to submit feedback via Google TV, as that is the best way to let Google know what features you'd like to see. While Google won't directly respond to your feedback, rest assured they take all feedback very seriously.
I hope that helps you out! If you have any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know.
Best regards,
Jeran
