WiFi connection

I have done everything and more but I still cant get my new chrome cast to connect to WiFi, the old one stoped working about 6 months ago and I have only just got round to replacing it.passwords are correct and everything else is ok it just won't connect. any ideas as to why it won't connect

A few questions — what type of Chromecast device do you have? What exact message are you getting on the Google Home app or on your TV during setup? What mobile phone are you using? If you could also provide a rundown of all the steps that you've already tried, I would appreciate it.
