Wifi keeps toggling off

I own two Google tv chromecasts, one bought the end of 2020, one purchased, the other in March 2021. Across three networks, in three different households, with three different brand routers(Netgear, Asus, & technicolor) the wifi will turn itself off(literally watched the slider move) even while actively watching/streaming/browsing. It isn't router related, ALL other devices have zero issues. This has been an ignored, ongoing issue since launch. Walmart's two ONN streaming devices(I have 3 of them) do not have this issue. What's really going on?

Hey there diyi75,

I apologize about the late response, thank you for being patient on this! Were you able to fix that Wi-Fi issue? If not, I'd be happy to help out, as this seems like something that would be difficult to troubleshoot on your own. Let me just ask you some questions about what's happening:

  • When did this issue start happening?
  • What is the firmware version of your Chromecast devices?
  • What network band are you connected to? Either 2.4GHz or 5Ghz
  • What color is the LED light on the Chromecast when this occurs?
  • What troubleshooting steps have you already tried?

I look forward to your response, and if you have any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know!

Best regards,
Jeran
