Wifi problem

I cannot connect google chrome cast to wifi  and cannot setup the device !! Its almost three hours of trials 

very bad experience!!

Sorry to hear about that. Could you tell me what mobile phone are you using? Please try using a different Android phone or an iPhone, if one is available. Rebooting your Chromecast and router might also help.

Only support 2.4g wifi

@Mohamedsaid, may I know what type of Chromecast device you have? What message are you getting when setting up your Chromecast?

   

@hipig, are you also experiencing the same issue with the original poster? If so, could you provide the same information that I've asked Mohamedsaid?

I am getting the error on my phone when trying to setup my new Chromecast, "Could not connect to your Chromecast. Make sure it  is nearby and that you connect to it when prompted.  I'm nearby. I'm getting this error popup on my phone when I'm using the Device Utility App that I was told to get when I went in through Google Home.
