My chromecast is set to an old internet, and whenever I connect it to the new network, its saying my phone needs to be connected to the same network? However, I can’t connect to the chromecast unless I’m linked to it through my wife settings, so because it’s connected through wifi I can’t connect to my wifi for it to be the same as the chromecast, never been so comfused

I apologize about the late response on this, thank you for being patient! Were you able to fix that connection issue? If not, I'd be happy to help out, as I know networking can be a bit tricky. Let me just ask you some questions about what's happening:

  • Have you attempted a factory reset on the Chromecast?
  • Are you able to forget the network via the Google Home app?
  • What troubleshooting steps have you already tried?
