Will not play

After I did the whole initial setup and paired my phone and TV with the Chromecast everything works until I get to the point where I push play on my phone to watch something and it does not play it doesn't do anything what do I need to do how can I fix this?

I'm sorry to hear that your Chromecast isn't playing the content, even after setting everything up! I'd be happy to help you fix this issue, let me just ask some questions to understand what's happening:

  • What color is the LED light on the Chromecast?
  • Do you get an error message?
  • Does it say your Chromecast is playing anything in the Google Home app?
  • Can you cast from another device, such as a computer?

I would also recommend you take a look at this article on common Chromecast connection issues, just to make sure everything looks good on that end.

I set up everything the right way and I'm casting from my Samsung phone to my smart TV It will not play when casting but when I stop casting it will play on my phone. I change it back to cast to my TV and it will not play what do I do? Please I hope someone can help because this is really very frustrating and irritating
