I can't find Youtube Kids on my Chromecast device on the App store.
If I try to install it remotely from my mobile or PC, it shows me it's not compatible with device (Chromecast)!
What could be the reason for this?! The system is up-to-date, restarting Wireless and the device didn't help, clearing the Store data and cache didn't help either.
I am using latest Chromecast with Google TV (4K) version.
Thanks @Cathal_S for your input. I am located in Jordan and bought in Jordan, I don't see it listed in the link which you've shared. Does that mean I can't find YTKids in the "Apps" section??
I can find and install normal Youtube on the device but not the Kids version, I just can't find it.
Unfortunately Google doesn't consider devices officially supported unless they can be purchased from their online Google store within that country. This means that not all apps, services and features are guaranteed to work outside of the official countries.
This is a community forum supported by other users like myself and community specialist's but you could try chatting with a Google representative about this using the link below.
Thanks @JenniferV and @Cathal_S , I get your point, but if the issue was related to another app I would understand there could be a compatibility problem, however, this is for an App (YTKids), which is most likely one of the top used app on Chromecast devices, and both the device and the app are created by you (Google). Moreover, how can I install it with no issues on my Samsung and iPhone mobiles, but not on Chromecast!?
If you want to close off this thread I am okay with that, but to be honest, your reply didn't convince me! I wish if I could just know what is the reason for this issue?
We hear you. Since the Chromecast with Google TV device isn't supported in Jordan, some features and apps might not be available in the device. I'd suggest you send feedback about this via Google TV. Here's how. Also, you may contact YouTube support to get additional information about this.
