Youtube constantly at 144p

Despite having good internet speed, YouTube seems to be stuck on 144p when streaming live YouTube broadcasts. Nothing else is using my Wifi when I'm streaming.

Thanks for posting. Let's sort this out. 

 

A few questions: When did the issue start? Have you ever cast before without any video quality issues? Is this only happening when casting videos from YouTube?

 

Give these steps a try:

 

  1. Check the settings on your YouTube app and configure your video quality preference.
  2. Reboot your Chromecast.
  3. reboot your WiFi router.
  4. On the mobile device, close and reopen all cast-supported applications.
  5. Open a different cast-supported app and cast a different video.
  6. Try to use the Chromecast with another TV or different HDMI port.

Hello, 

Thanks for replying. It seems to only be youtube and mostly during live broadcasts. I recently got a TCL brand TV (about 4 months ago) and it has been low quality ever since.
