change old wifi

i have a older chromecast (not sure what generation it is) that i had been using, our wifi router stopped working. i have no access to the old router  is there any way to change the wifi on my chromecast?

You will need to factory reset the Chromecast to reset the wifi if you have no access to the old router.  Luckily it's a quick reset.
