Hello brain trust,
I live in Victoria but for some reason my modem tells me that my Ip address is in ACT. This is frustrating and have tried over the last 6 months or so to get this fixed through Telstra. We have replaced the modem and still it says that I live in Canberra. Telstra advised that the only way to fix this issue is to get a vpn and use the chrome cast through that. So we now have a vpn but the modem still says I"m in Canberra. Is there a way to change to the vpn address directly on the chrome cast so it is not picking up the Canberra wifi address?
Any help would be apprieciated
Cheers
Kerry

Can you give us more details of where it says that you live in the wrong location?
While a VPN could change where your internet traffic comes out of, it sounds like a very strange way to solve this problem. Also you can't really use a VPN with the Chromecast (maybe with the CCwGTV you can) unless you put the VPN for your whole home network.

Hi, everyone.
As we haven't had any activity here recently I'm going to go ahead and close the thread. If you have more to add, feel free to start a new discussion.
Thanks
