i cant connect

Hi theotheo,

 

Thanks for reaching out and sorry for the late response. Let's sort this out. 

 

A few questions — is this a first time setup? What exact message are you getting when setting up the device in the Google Home app? How far is your Chromecast from the WiFi router and setup device?

 

Give these steps a try:

  1. Check if the Chromecast device is within 15 to 20 feet of the setup device and the WiFi router.
  2. Toggle WiFi off and on from the setup device.
  3. Reboot the router.
  4. Reboot the Chromecast.
  5. Force close and reopen the Google Home app.
  6. Turn on the Local Network Access for the Google Home app (if using an iOS device).
  7. Use a different mobile device.
  8. Reset the Chromecast.
