lip sync correction in chromecase with google TV

Hi,

Currently I have a Chromecast with Google TV connected to my 10 year old TV and it is working great. I am watching regular TV, netflix and youtube. No issues with this setup. Now I am planning to extend this setup with a sound bar  and I have been reading a lot on the net about lip sync issues. I was wondering whether this can be corrected by the chromecast and if not, are there plans to add such a feature into the chromecast?

I have lip sync problem when doing surround sound.  The audio is behind the video.  It is very painful.  If I do not use any surround, the lip sync is perfect; but what's the point if Google TV supports Atmos or 5.1.

Hi folks,

Thanks for reaching out. The audio and video should be in-sync and should work normally, but if you've encountered some issues you may try the steps listed below:

1. Stop playing the content, then try to play the same content again.
2. Close and relaunch the app you're using, then try to play the same content again.
3. Try decreasing the distance between the TV and router.
4. Remove and re add the soundbar.
5. Reboot the Chromecast device.
