"Paired Bluetooth Devices" not showing up when connecting Bluetooth Speakers to Chromecast

I'm looking to connect bluetooth speakers to my Chromecast so that I can play videos from my phone and have the sound come from my speakers.

This seems possible based on these instructions, however, when I open up Audio I'm not seeing a "Paired Bluetooth Devices" option. My speakers are already paired to my phone and they're in pairing mode.

Any suggestions for how I can pair my speakers to my chromecast?

If it matters, I'm trying to pair an Ultimate Ears Boom 3.

Hi folks,

Thanks for reaching out to the Chromecast Community forum!

What type of chromecast device do you have? The only Chromecast model that currently supports Bluetooth pairing is the Chromecast with Google TV. Here's a guide on how to connect Bluetooth devices to Chromecast with Google TV.

I hope this answered your concern.

Thanks,

Jennifer

Yesterday the option appeared, although I was never able to pair to my speaker (Bose Revolve plus SoundLink). Today, the option is missing completely.

There's not much more to say than that the product I bought won't work for the purpose for which I need it.
