Hello, I have a pixel 9 and its connected to all our hubs etc. I am able to shout " Hay Google call my pixel 9" and it does. My daughter has a Pixel 8 and she is always asking "call my phone" and it's getting old!!! How can I set up my hub to ask to call the pixel 8 also?

Hi SoggyCashew,

Thank you for posting here in the community. I apologize for the inconvenience that you are experiencing with your Google Nest Hub devices and the Find My Device feature. But no need to worry, help is here.

To set up Find My Device for a second phone, please take the following instructions into consideration:

If multiple people use the same Google Nest or Home speaker or display, everyone who wants to call their own phone must link their Google Account and voice to the speaker or display.

  1. Tap Settings, then Google Assistant. then Voice Match and then Other devices. Note: If there's more than one home, tap each home to add Voice Match to.
  2. Tap Get started and then follow the in-app steps. Note: To turn on Voice Match automatically for new devices in the same home, turn on Automatically enable on future devices.

Additional considerations:

  1. Device Compatibility: Ensure your phone or tablet is compatible with Find My Device. This feature is typically available on Android and iOS devices.
  2. Google Account Linkage: Both your Nest Hub and your phone or tablet need to be signed into the same Google account.
  3. "Find My Device" Activation: On your phone or tablet, ensure the "Find My Device" feature is enabled. This can usually be found in the device's settings.
  4. Voice Command: Say "Hey Google, find my phone" or "Hey Google, find my [device name]" to your Nest Hub.
  5. Notification and Sound: Your phone or tablet will receive a notification and start ringing loudly to help you locate it.

Please check the following articles to Find your phone with Google Assistant or to Make calls and broadcast messages on speakers and displays.

Please keep me posted.

Best,

Mario
