I have an automation that when I tell Google goodnight, it asks me what time to set alarm, and turns everything in my house off. About 2 weeks ago it will ask me "what time to set the alarm" which is its first action. I tell it the time, Google says "OK" then asks again what time to set the alarm. I tell it again, and she says there is already an alarm set for that time. It still does everything else correctly. I've checked everywhere and there is only 1 action for Ask what time the alarm should be set for. Its so annoying. Ive removed that action and redid it and it still does the double ask thing.

I've had the same, I removed all the actions from the goodnight routine and added them again which worked for me. Not ideal I know 😔. Also it happened to me that it did one action then not do the next action for an hour or so / not at all same thing happened for the morning routine 🙄

Hi folks,
Thanks for reaching out. I know how it feels when something isn’t working as it should. A few questions: what Nest speaker or display do you own? When did it begin? Were there any recent changes made? What steps have you taken so far? What is its distance from your Wi-Fi router?
Try to reboot your Wi-Fi router, and once the network is back up, do the same thing on your Nest speaker or display. Observe if it makes a difference.

Juni

The nest mini is what I noticed it on because it's in the bedroom. It started 2 or 3 weeks ago. Everything had been rebooted, no Router change or anything. I tried what the previous poster suggested that they did to fix theirs & it worked. Like I said, I had been using that automation for years and then it just glitched. Checked all lines of it multiple times, and was only 1 entry for asking me time for alarm. No matter what it asked me twice, until I deleted all lines and re did the whole automation.

Hi thrmltdown,
Thanks for the details you’ve shared, and sorry for the delay. Since this is happening in a ready-made routine, have you tried creating a new personal routine? Try it and observe if it makes a difference.
Keep me posted.
Regards,
Juni
