Can't Invite Member to Google Home

evaneia
Community Member

I have Google Wi-Fi set up in my office. When I go to add another office member, I get an error stating, "Can't send invite right now". We both have emails under my business google account. His user account does not look like it has any restrictions on it when I look in the Google Admin page. What am I missing? I want him to have access to all the google products in the office.

Hey evaneia,

Thanks for reaching out.

Anyone who joins the customer’s local Wi-Fi network gets an option in the Google Home app to join the home. This action doesn’t give the person the access to the customer’s devices, but it sends a request to the current home members. The current home members can approve or deny that request.

Certain accounts don't have the ability to be a home member. You can't invite the persons with the following accounts:

  • Google Workspace (G Suite) accounts
  • Google Account for children under 13 (or the applicable age in the customer's country)

Check this guide for more information.

Best,

Alex
