Can’t add point to existing mesh

I am trying to add a 4th point in an additional  room to a 3 point mesh network in my house. The 4th point is plugged in and flashing blue.  When  I get to the final step on the Google Home app ( adding WiFi point to WiFi mesh) it’s failed multiple times. Please advise.

I had this same issue setting up a new Wifi point on an Android device, but when I tried setting up with an iPhone it worked seamlessly. So if you're using an Android tab or phone to setup, you should consider using an iPhone.

Hi Richkos,

Thank you for reaching out to the community! I understand you're attempting to add a fourth point to your existing three-point mesh network in another room. I know it's frustrating when the device repeatedly fails to add. I'm here to help! To gather more information, I'd like to ask the following questions:

  • What's your Google Nest WiFi device model? Here is a link for your reference: What Google Nest Wifi device do I have?
  • Did you try to set up the point wirelessly or through a wired connection? How do you want your mesh setup?
  • Is the child point within the recommended distance from the parent point
  • Do you have any switches in your network setup?

Let me know if you have any additional information; it’ll be helpful.

Best regards,
Juan
