Cannot re-add cameras

I keep getting NC023 when I try to add my (4) Nest Cam IQ interior cameras back to my account. 
I used to have the cameras in my Nest app, but I removed them. Then, I upgraded to a Google account, now I can’t add any of them back. I’ve followed all the troubleshooting steps here without luck. I’ve tried to use multiple iPhones and iPads, but no luck.

It seems many Google Nest customers have issues when reinstalling their devices.

I don't know whether this will make a difference or not, but did you try a factory reset on any of your IQ cameras?

Thanks for posting in our Community. I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues with your Nest Cam IQ Indoor. Let’s check it out.

 

Have you had a chance to see MplsCustomer’s response above? If you were able to factory reset the device, continue with the steps below.

 

  1. After the factory reset, your device will appear as "Offline" in the app until you remove it.
  2. To remove it from the app, open the app, then tap Settings > Remove device>  Confirm.
  3. Make sure the phone is on the same Wi-Fi network as the selected network for the Nest device.
  4. Bluetooth should be enabled, but it should not be connected to any Bluetooth devices. Disconnect any Bluetooth devices paired to your phone, such as earbuds, smartwatches, etc.
  5. Cellular data should be turned off.
  6. If you have an iOS device, tap Settings > Privacy > Local Network and turn on Local Network Access for the Google Home app.
  7. Start adding the device back to the Nest app.
