Google Neats and Spotify Family accounts

I’m sure this has been raised a million times before. We’ve just bought the 3x kids Google nests for their bedrooms and were hoping to sync our Spotify Family account across the nests.

HOWEVER, it seems we can’t connect their respective Spotify accounts to their individual nests. Is that correct? 

The poor buggers. Every time they ask Google to play a song, the next room cuts out. 

Any help/solutions/crystal balls much appreciated.

This essentially isn't possible with a "normal" setup, unfortunately. Virtually the only workaround is to have each member of the family have their own sign in for Google and Spotify so that they can control their own music on their app through their own speaker. More details below.
