Hi there! I decided to make this a post to see if someone else relates. I'm using a Nest Protect in Location A (Warehouse) and have a Google Show in Location B (House). I wanted to create a routine where if the nest protect in Location A detected smoke, my Google Show in Location B would play a loud "Siren-like" noise and start streaming the cameras I have set up in Location A (2 Wyze 4 Cams). This sound should be loud enough to wake me up in case a fire starts in the warehouse. A phone notification does not wake me up.
I noticed in the Google Home App that there are no triggers to start a routine if the Nest Protect detects smoke. (Only if it loses power). I feel like a trigger on a Nest Protect Gen 2 if it detects smoke is CRUCIAL for a product like this. I also noticed that this Co and Smoke alarm feature is only available on android as of the time of writing this post. I hope that anyone who sees this post can relate with why I feel like its such an essential and obvious feature to include in the Google Home App. I also hope that someone with the ability to make a change can read this and implement the feature ASAP. It should be a pretty straightforward integration.
P.S. Going hand in hand with this, maybe go as far as to making the action being: Play the same CO or Smoke Alarm sound on all products with a speaker to make it a robust security system
Thank you

Hi @vicentegz,
I understand that there is no option available in the Google Home app to use your Nest Protects as a trigger to start a routine that will turn on your cameras to start recording. We understand how crucial it is for you to have that kind of feature. Your feedback is invaluable to us and helps us identify areas for improvement. Then here I send you the feedback form where you can put your suggestions and share your experience.
Best regards,
Derick.

Thank you for your response @Derickf,
I have filled the feedback form. I hope that soon we can get a trigger within google home if a nest protect detects smoke.
Best regards,
Vince
